değerlendirmelerinin yanısıra Almanya, Hollanda ve Yunanistan'da da
tıp eğitimi ve birinci basamağın durumu WONCA Başkanı Prof.Chris van
Weel, Prof.Peter Dieter, Prof.Albert Scherpbier ve Prof.Christos
Lionis'in konuşmalarıyla değerlendirildi, bilgi ve deneyim paylaşımı
gerçekleştirildi. Akşam da "Tıp Bayramı Yemeği" ile etkinlik
sonlandırıldı.

Prof Chris van Weel, MD, Nijmegen University,WONCA President From 1985 he has been professor of general practice/family medicine, and since 1987 head of department.Soon after he became a GP he joined the Dutch college and is proud to have managed to continue active involvement in a number of activities (College journal, scientific conference committee, various guideline committees) ever since.His first Wonca conference was 1978 when he gave a paper on his later thesis: the pros and cons of screening for hypertension. His hero, Julian Tudor Hart, challenged his views punishingly - they became great friends. He also had the privilege of a dinner at that conference with the late John Fry, which also turned into a lasting friendship.In 1987 in Montreux he joined the Standing Committee on Research, and in 1984 became the chair of the Committee, until 1998, when he was elected Regional Vice President of Wonca Europe and President of the European Society of General Practice/Family Medicine, a position he held until 2001. During this time he was a member of Wonca Executive Committee. At the most recent World Council meeting in South Africa, he was elected Member at Large of Executive Committee. He hopes to foster the research mission of Wonca. He sees having more involvement in research as an important task for Wonca and is confident the great potential of Wonca can be turned to the best. Wonca is part of his life as much as part of his professional career.
Associate Professor Christos Lionis, MD, PhD Christos Lionis was born in Rethymnon, Crete in 1955. In 1973 he entered the Medical School at University of Athens and graduated in 1979.He is qualified in both Internal Medicine and Social Medicine along with a PHD where he graduated in 1991 from the University of Crete. The PHD title was "An Educational intervention in junior high school students from the prevention of coronary heart disease". For 9 years he served as the Manager and Medical Director of the Spili Health Centre in Rethymnon prefecture. In 1994, he was elected as Assistant Professor of Social and Family Medicine at the Department of Social Medicine, University of Crete and in 2002 he was elected as Associate Professor. In 2001 he was elected as a Deputy General Director of the Regional Health and Welfare System (Pe.S.Y.P.) of Crete, a position from which he resigned in May 2004.He is the Editor in Chief of the Primary Health Care journal, edited by the Greek Association of General Practice (ELEGEIA)and member of the editorial board of four European Scientific Journals (European Journal of General Practice, International Journal of Medicine, Maltese Journal of Family Medicine, Turkish Journal of Public Health), while he participates in the Advisory Committee of a Spanish medical journal. He was lately elected as the Editor in Chief of the European Section of the International Journal of Rural and Remote Health, a cited in MEDLINE e-Journal. In 1995 he nominated as national representative of Greece in the European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN), a European Network Organisation of the European Society of General Practice / Family Medicine and he elected as an Executive Board member since 1998 and Vice President since 2004. He is also a member of the Executive Board of the European Rural and Isolated Practitioners Association (EURIPA) and the European Society for Primary Care Gastroentrerology (ESPCG)various Greek and foreign Networks. Since May 2001 he is an elected member of the Executive Board of the European Society of General Practice/Family Medicine (WONCA Europe). In 2003 he was elected Vice President of the Executive Board of the Greek Association of General Practice (ELEGEIA).
Professor Peter Dieter,PhD.
Professor Dr. Peter Dieter received his doctoral degree in biology from the University of Freiburg, Germany. He continued his scientific career in Freiburg in the field of medical biochemistry. In 1997 he moved to the Department of Biochemistry, Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine, University of Technology, Germany. Currently, he is also the Dean of Medical Education & Student Affairs and introduced successfully the active, tudent-centered learning and case-based teaching modules. Professor Dieter and his faculty members have used their experience to help other medical school in Europe and elsewhere to develop curricular reforms.
Professor Albert Scherpbier, MD, PhD - Maastricht University, Netherlands

Professor of Quality Improvement in Medical Education After graduating from Groningen University, he worked there as coordinator of surgical education before joining Maastricht medical school as Head of the Skillslab. Today he is Scientific Director of the Institute for Medical Education. He is one of the driving forces behind the innovation of the Maastricht undergraduate curriculum. He was Editor in Chief of the journal of the Dutch Association for Medical Education and is currently its chairman. Undergraduate and graduate clinical training, professionalisation of medical education and medical education research are among his core interests. He has published extensively and supervised MHPE and PhD theses inside and outside the Netherlands. As a consultant on medical education he has visited medical schools worldwide.
